I'm an Animation Professor at LUCA School of Arts, campus C-mine in Genk, Belgium. I teach at the Re:Anima Joint Master in Animation and I'm a senior researcher at the Inter-Actions Research Unit. My research interests include philosophy of Technics, power relations inscribed in and reinforced by technical objects, and decolonial perspectives in animation. Previously, I was an Animation Professor at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), in Brazil. MFA and PhD by the Graduate Program in Arts at EBA/UFMG. I'm also a free software advocate, animator, rigger and I also like to code. You can see some of my works and know a bit more about me at:

Blender Animation Book

I've written a book about Rigging and Animation in Blender for Packt Publishing. You can get the files here.

Old Blog

Yes, I had a blog. Haven't updated it since 2011. Anyway, if you need something from there I have kept backwards compatibility and you can read it below.

Blender Conference is near

Yeah, everybody (I think) knows that this weekend will happen the big party Blender Conference, in Amsterdam. But one thing not everybody knows is that...

... Blender Pro, the II Brazilian Blender Conference is also near. It will happen in Belo Horizonte, november 9th. I'm definitely going this time, since I missed last year.

I think it's good to notice that the submissions for the Blender Pro's art festival (stills and animations) are still open. ;)

I'm not going but I can't wait because I entered a short film in the competition! Most likely it won't win because it was my first short ever but I'm still hoping. :-)

Thanks for the comment on my blog, Virgilio! I just got an email from Dolf Veenvliet with a list of the 15 nominated films. Unfortunately, mine didn't make it. Oh well. I watched some of the nominated videos and they look really good. Maybe next year!
