I'm an Animation Professor at LUCA School of Arts, campus C-mine in Genk, Belgium. I teach at the Re:Anima Joint Master in Animation and I'm a senior researcher at the Genk Research Unit, in the 'Critical reflections of and through animation' cluster. My research interests include philosophy of Technics, power relations inscribed in and reinforced by technical objects, and decolonial perspectives in animation. Previously, I was an Animation Professor at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), in Brazil. MFA and PhD by the Graduate Program in Arts at EBA/UFMG. I'm also a free software advocate, animator, rigger and I also like to code. You can see some of my works and know a bit more about me at:

Yes, I had a blog. Haven't updated it since 2011. Anyway, if you need something from there I have kept backwards compatibility and you can read it below.

Found interesting a post on Cartoon Brew, which shows a 3D animation with a cartoon look, without using the cell shader. It's by no means a revolutionary thing, but the result looks much better than automatic cell shading. Found on Andre Forni's blog an excellent material: notes made by doctor Andrew Gordon, from Pixar. Cartoon Brew brought us this video from a 1981 Mel Blanc interview on David Letterman show. Another video about "The Man of a Thousand Voices" here. Tim Formica, from Blendernation was on Siggraph 2007 and made a cool interview with the awesome animators/teachers Bobby "Boom" Beck, Carlos Baena e Shawn Kelly, founders of Animation Mentor. The video was divided in two parts. Go check it out: 1 and 2. I wish I could study with them...
